Temporary Backyard

This farmer's field has been in my backyard since moving here 8 (!) years ago. Unfortunately, I've received a notice of intent to rezone it to residential :( I'm hoping for a couple more years while they get their act together!

Timmy

It's hard to get a picture of a leaping cat while holding the camera in one hand and swinging a feather with the other. I did get some video, though.

Fancy Fruit

Costco has these premium fruit varieties. They're a bit expensive, but usually worth it. Rainier cherries and black velvet apricots. Having mobile internet encourages me to buy this sort of thing because I can look them up and see if I think they'll be worth it.

I'm sure I could've done this better, but...

Cruise 2012 - Venice Wandering Grand Canal (Day 12)

Teresa wanted to see this, but everyone got tired before we found it. But eventually I managed to find it while wandering and got a really great picture, considering the overcast conditions. I might come back to this later and do a bit of editing to make the buildings pop separately from the sky.

Fat Spider

This monster spider lives just outside my house... apparently it's been eating well too!

Pretty Pictures...

On a warm September afternoon, a butterfly rests on a branch outside my office.

I take my pictures on a 3.2MPixel Canon A70. It's a nice camera - it runs on standard AA cells and has all the nifty manual settings that I could want - and some handy automatic ones as well. It's a bit on the big side, but well designed for a steady grip. It's the first camera that I've ever owned.
