Chicken Bagel

Nothing special, but yummy. Sliced cremini mushrooms at Costco are a great deal... so are the bags of shallots - much bigger both by the bag and per shallot.

Lobster

I figured, "Instead of going to a restaurant, why not buy a live lobster and steam it at home?"

Steamed for 12 minutes. Delicious with garlic butter.

Shrimp Pasta

This is a favorite standby - pasta with olive oil and garlic... and some shrimp and asparagus for added goodness. I'm on a bit of an asparagus kick, you'll see it a lot. Makes pee really smelly.

Berry Smoothie

Still going with the blender. Actually, what I like best is a lot of yogurt and milk, with not too much fruit... it gets all bubbly and frothy. But this is good too.

Apple Crumble Pie

Over-thickened. Also, the pie that I made for mom's birthday had some Spy apples (courtesy of Jen's apple picking excursion). The tart Spies made for a noticeable improvement in the pie.

Quiche

This was just OK. The crust was meant for pie, so it was a bit sweet. The egg custard kinda overcooked.

Roast Chicken Dinner

I gotta learn portion control. I wish I could say that I only ate those 2 quarters, but the truth is I probably ate like 4 of them. If not more.

Ginger Roast Pork

If I lived near a chinatown, I'd probably never cook. Heh, my parents left with with roast pork, 6 spring rolls (apparently 12 for $2 at FoodieMart!), doubles and roti. I can really stretch the pork over a lot of rice and mix with the ginger scallion oil. It doesn't look like much, but it's delicious!
